Japanese Delegation: Christmas Gala

The Japanese delegation organized its annual ceremony at the restaurant Pachon in Tokyo. The ceremony was followed by a diner-gala were new members could meet with their fellow Knights and Dames.

This event was marked by the entrance of famous members in our Confraternity, including H.S.H. former Prince Tomohiko Asaka, the Major General Ret. Yoshinobu Miyake former Olympic Weightlifter gold medalist and Mrs. Koori Kazuko member of the Japanese Parliament.

The diner started with a violin concert by a young but talented artist, for the pleasure of our guests.

OCTOBER 15

Governorate General

The Confraternity of the Knights of St-George Japan-Foundation, has been officially registered at the office of Governor of Tokyo, Mr.Ishihara as a non-profit-organization, NPO.

Locally in Japan, the NPO is working to set up the first "Japan National and Foreign Orders Museum". This cultural platform will permit to develop deep networks between Japan and Foreign Countries but also between international Orders of Chivalry.

OCTOBER 3

His Holiness Alexis II, Patriarch of Moscow & all Russia attended a Mass at the Cathedral Notre Dame in Paris.

After the Mass celebrated by Mgr. André Vingt-Trois Archbishop of Paris, the Governor General could briefly been introduced to His Holiness Alexis II, during a cocktail at the "Palais de la Concieregerie".

JULY 7-8-9

German Delegation (Augsburg)

A Pontifical Mass was celebrated at the Church St-Marcus property of the Fugger's Family.

JUNE 28-29-30

Italian Delegation (Naples)

The Italian delegation organized its annual ceremony in Naples. The G.G came with Mr. Shibuya delegate for Japan.

The different delegations arrived on the 28th in Naples where Dames & Knights joined for dinner a the restaurant of our friend Nelo.

Friday 29th, visit of Pompeii, later during the evening a "Veillee d Armes" was organized.

Saturday 30th, visit of the Almafi coast.

Sunday 1st, Conference and ceremony followed by a diner gala at the Excelcior Hotel in Naples.

Governorate General

Visit to the French Delegation

The G.G with the delegate for Japan, Mr. Shibuya, Director of the Foundation ICF led by the Prince Tomohiko Asaka went to Paris.

They met with the President of the C.E.D.S (Centre d Etudes Diplomatiques et Strategiques) to discuss future collaboration.

The Japanese delegation organized a great evening for Mrs. Akiko Hidari and her Husband, famous painter Azuma.

Junes 2-3

Visit to the City of Kawasaki

The Japanese delegation organized an official visit to the city of Kawasaki at the occasion of a local event, recording the trip of the Hasekura Rokuemon Tsunenaga (1571-1622), who was a Japanese samurai and retainer of Date Masamune, the daimyo of Sendai region. He led a diplomatic mission to New Spain (Mexico) and then Europe between 1613 and 1620. He was the first ever Japanese official ambassador to the Americas and Europe and initiated first recorded instance of Franco-Japanese relations.

On Sunday 22nd, members of the German delegation held an assembly in Forchheim to commemorate the our Saint.

Visit of the Delegate for Israel to Japan

A private dinner in Tokyo with Japanese politicians and opinion leaders were organized to introduce our projects and the program of the Israeli delegation for the year.
